CAS Learning Outcomes:

  1. Identify own strengths and develop areas for growth

  2. Demonstrate the skills and recognise the benefits of working collaboratively

There was a voluntary math competition held in school. I joined this competition for fun and because maths is one of my favorite subjects. The competition was open to all high schoolers. We were separated into teams of 3 and given a small whiteboard. We were given one question at a time and a restricted time to answer that question and write the answer on the whiteboard. The questions were quite difficult that my team and I were clueless. We guessed about 75% of the questions and the questions we got right was a fluke. Of course, we didn't make it to the second round against the teachers but it was a great way to develop my maths skills and work under a time restriction and groups.
