MAKE UP
GARBA
Garba is a traditional Indian dance. I have been doing Garba since I was 9. Garba is danced once every year and I eagerly wait for this day. Garba is an overnight event where we dance till our legs hurt but we don't stop.
MIXED UP
This was an amazing event held at NIST. I was part of the Love Ocean Life club and we had held a booth during this event to raise funds. I was assigned to set up the booth. It was a great evening with music and performances.
SKI DUBAI
I went to Dubai for Christmas. Going to Ski Dubai was an amazing way to spend my time and feel the Christmas vibes.
SNORKELING
I am very scared of water and oceans and with the thought of drowning. My family and I went snorkeling. This was truly a challenging and amazing experience I had in Krabi. I am really happy I stepped out of my comfort zone.
STUDENT ASSISTANT
I utilized my free time on Mondays by assisting a primary teacher with my friend. It was a great experience to help out a teacher by correcting and printing worksheets along with helping managing primary kids with their classwork.
LOL PRESENTATION
I was part of this club Love Ocean Life, where we had to present about Life at Ocean and how these species are threatened to primary kids. This presentation aims to spread awareness about our actions and how to be environmentally friendly to young kids.
ANIMAL SANCTUARY
I have always been very caring about animals. Being a vegetarian all my life influences me to go on this trip. This trip was all about animals that survived from being slaughtered. Also, I was very scared of touching animals and I tried overcoming my fear.
WORLD SCHOLAR'S CUP
This was a 2-day event about debating, quiz and many other activities. I developed my public speaking and debating skills through this. Also, I met many new people and interacted with them. Lastly, I got a cute alpaca back home.
READER'S THEATRE
I was in theatre class and we had decided to read out simple stories to primary kids to develop our public speaking and theatrical skills. The primary kids were having a good time listening to high schoolers narrate stories to them.
SMILE CLUB BOOTH
Smile club's main aim was to help children having a problem with their mouths, basically to smile. I helped to sell the club's merchandise to support the club where all the money earned is delivered as donations.
ADONT DON'T SHOP
Dogs are a very lovable animal but I am extremely scared of them. This was a workshop done by the club, K9 to spread awareness about adopting dogs to save them. These dogs were absolutely adorable. I fought my fears of dogs as you can see how I am happily patting the dog.
BREAST CANCER BAKE SALE
I was part of the Committee Engagement where we would spread awareness about important days. We sold brownies on Breast Cancer Awareness Day to send the money earned to associations helping out people suffering from breast cancer.
