Youth for SDGs is a 2-day conference based event held where students from various schools join to discuss global issues and possible solutions for ongoing issues. SDGs are the 17 global goals for a better and sustainable future. The main purpose of thing event was so spread awareness and give a thought to current global issues. On the first day, we were all randomly grouped and assigned to complete a treasure hunt. During the treasure hunt, we were exposed to talk and be friends with new people from different schools as well as gain knowledge from the little educational games we played to complete the treasure hunt. After this activity, we were in groups of 3 that we had picked earlier the event and assigned to work on an assignment. In groups of 3, we were told to find a realistic applicable solution to a problem given to us. The following day, we had to present our idea within a restricted time. During this event, I developed new skills like teamwork with new people, social skills, presenting skills as well as learning something new. Throughout this event, we were focusing on various global issues as we went to different rooms where we discussed different global issues and spread awareness of those issues. We discussed various human actions and the effects of those actions and how we should adopt healthy habits for a sustainable environment. In short, this event was enjoyable where I learned more about the world around me, met and interacted with new people and engaged in numerous activities to help spread awareness about global issues.
